Maula Ali WDM-2 #16202 bringing home the 319 Repalle-Secunderabad passenger.

Krishnarajapuram WDP-4 #20042 takes out the 2734 Narayanadri express to Tirupati.

Snaps taken at Yamnampet Level Crossing No 13 at KM 212 near Ghatkesar, approximately 20kms from Secunderabad. Headlights of the locos were on specially for the camera!

River and Rain

Tried a few low level shots of the River Krishna. The cam was just an inch or two above the water level on this occasion. Snap taken at Bhavani Island, Vijayawada.

It rained pretty neat at Vijayawada, when I was there in the peak of the summer. Made my trip very pleasant! I like this one coz the water drops can be seen very clearly in this snap!

This was spotted at the Simla Airport. Note the last name.. Mr Robert Vadra. Exempted from security check. Why? Just because he is the son-in-law of the most powerful woman in the country? Why is Manmohan Singh's daughter not given the same privilege? Why not Pratibha Patil's son? Why only Mr Vadra? And why at all?

One fine day, wifey comes to a unilateral conclusion that her husband is not good looking enough to stand beside her and she has to do something to make him look the part. So, as part of that attempt, some idiotic face pack found is cucumberous way onto my ugly face for the better part of an hour - not that it had any perceivable effect on my glamourous thopda.

Its cooling effect did feel good initially, but when it started drying, it became itchy and the moment I got the opportunity the gue was off my face.

PS: By the way, this is self photography at its best !

Starting up with a snap of the first rays of sun on a cloudy March morning at Vijayawada!

The night was no less beautiful, with a full Holi moon scintillating in the sky.

How can I forget my favorite hobby railfanning? I spent a full night at Vijayawada station watching trains and doing nothing else. Seen here is Lallaguda WAP-4 #22598 doing the honours with the Chennai bound Charminar Express in tow.
